![]() ![]() I would reccommend doing this if you ever have this problem, everytime a mod updates i get that error and i do this and it works like new again, this really helped me get back into ark. ![]() You do NOT need to delete all folders and files. It should now download that missing mod and you'll be able to get in.ģ) For those that have 'permissions' troubles in deleting folders, restart your computer in safe mode and delete it that way, then restart in regular mode after folder is deleted. Delete the yellow mod folder of the file that is missing. The issue might be with just one mod, but by deleting them all you can be sure. When getting the 'failed to install mod map' go to see if you have all files to match those folders. After you do this, Close ARK/Steam, you will need to open up This PC>Your boot>Program Files (x86)> Steam>Steam Apps>Common>Ark Shooter Game>Content>Mods After you get to this point you will need to delete everything in the mods folder, but not the foler itself. I've tried deleting and reinstalling mods, verified files (said 1200 failed to validate), updated my server again, but nothing will allow me onto The Island, which is not a mod map. Originally posted by Instinct:I have been shown something that I've tried twice now and its worked both times.ġ) Go to your mods folder on your computer.Ģ) The yellow folders with mod numbers on it, also has white files underneath that have those same numbers. Since the download and server update, every time I try logging in I get a 'Failed to Install Mod map' error followed by a connection timeout. Thus more mods more chances of mismatches(especially mods in development still or right after a devkit/ark core game update). You just have to keep joining repeatedly until you no longer see mods being downloaded in the lower right corner of the game menu and you then see in the middle of the screen a "loading mods" message.Īlso with heavily modded servers, the loading mods to actually then get in the server itself can take more than 10 minutes depending on the numbers of mods, size, and your connection speed.Īlso, if the mods you have are of course most current but the server owner hasn't updated manually/automatically on his server side(which can take 10+min depending) then you can get the fun mod mismatch error message and have to wait for the owner to do his thing. Like many large mods when you hit the join button and the mod downloading begins, it will almost always time out from the join because the downloading hasn't finished. It's probably something really simple but i'm too stupid to think of it.Ĭould i get any help? I don't think it's on the server's end since all mods are up to date and such.īut the mod that keeps "installing" is extinction core.Įx"stink"tion is a very large mod. It also introduces a collection of islands called Apotheosis as well as a giant Bee Hive that is surrounded by bees and bears. I've also reinstalled steam, and ark several times, i don't want to keep doing this, and i don't know how to fix it. By installing this mod, you can bring elements of Lovecraft and more into Ark by spawning the Eldritch Isle that yields tons of resources at great risk.
